Thelma Harcum  

DOVER, Del. — Thelma Harcum of Dover, Del., died Friday, July 30, 2004, in the Bay Health Medical Center in Dover. She was 85 years old. Born in Wallace, N.C., Mrs. Harcum was the daughter of the late Levie Thomas Rackley and Lula Holmes English Rackley.

Her husband, Herman Ellis Harcum, died in May 1975. She had retired in 1984 as a Quality Assurance Inspector for Union Bag Camps (International Paper).  

Mrs. Harcum is survived by one daughter, Martha Harcum Watson of Denton; one sister, Alma R. Kidd, formerly of Florence, S.C., and presently of Denton; one brother, Allen T. Rackley of Norfolk, Va.; two granddaughters, Suzanne Watson and her fiancé, Steve Cahall of Denton, and Stephanie Watson and her husband, Greg Kenney Sr. of Upper Marlboro; one grandson, Steven R. Watson II of Salisbury; and two great-grandchildren, Greg Alan Kenney Jr. and Jesse Neal Forbes.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, August 4, 2004, in Southampton Memorial Park, Route 1, South Quay Road in Franklin, Va. The viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 South Second St., Denton. Arrangements by Moore Funeral Home, P.A., Denton.
