Claudette Putze Obituary Claudette Golderos Putze May 21, 1935 - January 1, 2024 Richmond - Our dearest mother, Claudette Golderos Putze, passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born and raised on the northside in Richmond. She is the daughter of late Dr. Victor Rudesindo Golderos and Mrs. Hilda Hubbard Golderos. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School on 1953 and attended Richmond Professional Institute. Mrs. Putze was married to Robert L Putze, MD, who preceded her in death. They moved to Franklin, VA where he practiced medicine for 40 years. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. Mrs. Putze was part of the Franklin community for over 50 years. During that time, she was deeply involved with the Colonial Coast Girl Scouts as both a Board Member and troop leader, actively involved in the Pine Crest Garden Club and Franklin Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed flower arranging, painting, and playing mahjong. She was passionate about genealogy her familial history and was a proud and devoted member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Putze is survived by her daughter, Alice Taylor, her husband Sam and their children, Charlie, and Layne of Richmond; two sons, Victor Putze of Richmond, and Robert Putze, his wife Jill and their two children, Caroline and Robbie of Raleigh, NC, a sister Theresa Metz and her husband John and their daughter Jennifer Marshall all of Charlottesville, and a brother Victor R Golderos III and his wife Betty, and their son, Reuben all of New Kent, VA. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 5th at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Qualls officiating. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Putze request donations be made to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden or any favorite charity.
