Carrsville - Betty Lou Carr Presson, 78, widow of James E. Presson, passed away at her home on Friday, December 27, 2013. Born in Isle of Wight County, she was one of nine children of the late George W. and Mary Turner Carr. Betty, a graduate of Carrsville High School, was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a blessing to all who knew her. She was a true servant of our Lord and a loyal member of Colosse Baptist Church. 

Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Karl Blake Presson (Ginger), Kevin Glenn Presson (Cassandra), Tonya Gale Presson Lafleche (Tim) and Jeffrie Blair Presson (Michelle) ; surviving sister, Helen Holland; her six grandchildren, Brittany Presson Hart (Michael), Kristen Lafleche, Amber Presson, Thomas Presson, Kassidy Lafleche, and Jayton Presson; one great-grandchild, Emerson Blake Presson. 

A service of remembrance will be held 2 PM Monday, December 30, 2013 at Colosse Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Webb and Rev. Hoyle Green officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial donations be made to Colosse Baptist Church Perpetual Care Fund, 6361 Rhodes Drive, Windsor, VA 23487. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
