Robert W. Powell III  

WINDSOR - Robert Winton Powell III, 28, died Saturday, June 30[1990], in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, Mr. Powell was a machinist with the Tidewater Occupational Center, Suffolk. He was a member of Smithfield Church of Christ and the Aeronautic Model Association.  

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Pierce Powell; a daughter, Stacey Lynn Powell of the home; a son, Robert Brandon Powell of the home; his father, Robert W. Powell Jr., and his mother, Barbara T. Powell, both of Rescue; a sister, Susan Lorraine Powell of Newport News; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Ruth Tester of Suffolk; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Dora D. Powell of Smithfield.  

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday [July 3, 1990] in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk.  

The family will be at the residence of his parents, Main Street, Rescue.  

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Robert Powell Memorial Fund, 37 Twin Ponds Drive, Windsor 23487. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is in charge.
