Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Greenville and Mozelle Campbell Batliner. She was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Guy Lloyd Pope, Jr. Brenda was a beautiful soul who touched countless lives in remarkable ways. While our hearts ache, we choose to celebrate her legacy. She was a beacon of love, laughter, and resilience. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her smile could light up even the darkest days. Youth Christian Ministries: Alongside her husband, Guy, Brenda was deeply involved in youth Christian ministries. She was a talented puppeteer, delighting children with Christian-themed puppet shows at church and local events. Her ability to give life to six different puppet characters through voice and personality was truly remarkable. Theatrical Aspirations: Brenda s lifelong dream was to be an actress. As a thespian in high school, she fearlessly took the stage, often stealing the show with her uproarious performances that left the audience in stitches. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor David Dillon. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
