Franklin － Thomas Ray Pierce, 62, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2023 in Massachusetts.  Born in Franklin, he was a son of Bobbie Ray Pierce and the late Jane Newsome Ellis.

Tommy attended Franklin High School and was a former employee of International Paper for 26 years.  He was currently a long distance truck driver for Prime, Inc.  Tommy gave 27 devoted years to the fire service, serving the citizens of the City of Franklin and Southampton County

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Karen Burton Pierce; two sons, Mark Christopher Pierce (Brittney) of Franklin and Robert Allen Pierce (Janelle) of Zuni; two brothers, Ronald Cary Pierce (Marie) and William Austin Ellis; and five grandchildren, Emma, Ben, Bella, Alexa, and Makayla.

A Memorial Service will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Boykins Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad Inc.
