George Lilton Pierce, 76, of Route 1 died Thursday 6 November 1986 in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. 

He was born in Isle of Wight County. He was a farmer and a member of Antioch Christian Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Munford Pierce; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Modlin of Franklin, Mrs. Barbara Ellis of Ivor, Mrs. Nancy Howell of Windsor and Mrs. Patricia Lawson of Roanoke; a son, George D. Pierce of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Rowell of Suffolk and Mrs. Gladys Godwin of Windsor; a brother, Roy S. Pierce of Virginia Beach; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday 9 November 1986 in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Revs. Edward Noble and Lamar Sentell. 

Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. 

The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 tonight 7 November 1986 and at the residence at other times.
