Survivors include her husband, Dennis Phillips; son, William Andrew "Andy" Poarch; two daughters, Amber Brooke Poarch and fiance, Brad Barbour, and Amanda M. Poarch; grandchildren, Ashton Nicholas Phillips, Braedon Owen Poarch, Jadyn Nicole Solomon, Benjamin Scott "Poot" Stutts and Kalli Michelle Barbour; her mother, Sadie Jean; three sisters, Cathy Grizzard, Barbara Howerton (husband, Larry) and Angela Wilson (husband, Tim); and a number of nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (tonight) at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd., Jarratt, Virginia. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church in Emporia. Interment will follow at Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church Lottie Moon Offering, 310 N. Main St., Emporia, Virginia 23847.
