Suzanne Brothers Petzold 24 August, 1935 - 23 March, 2023 Stanley, North Carolina Suzanne Brothers Petzold, 88, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on March 23, 2023. She was born in Richmond, VA on August 24, 1935. Mrs. Petzold graduated from St. Gertrude High School, Richmond VA and attended Virginia Commonwealth University. She was married to Richard Alvin ‚ÄúAl‚Äù Petzold on August 24, 1956. They were happily married for 48 years. Mrs. Petzold had a fabulous career as a devoted homemaker to her loving husband, Al and their three boys. Additionally, Mrs. Petzold worked for the Richmond VA City School System in the early 50‚Äôs. Mrs. Petzold was a valuable volunteer at the Charlotte Nature Museum, spearheading the costumes and make-up of the many volunteers that worked in the annual haunted house every October. She also had a passion for sewing, holiday decorating, the neighborhood garden club, camping at Myrtle Beach and State Parks and was a fabulous cook (except for the cow‚Äôs tongue). She is survived by her three sons, Bryan Petzold (Jill), Bruce Petzold (Fran) and Blair Petzold. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Noelle, Jason, Ethan, Hannah-Grace, Christopher, Beth Anne and Nicholas, as well as great grandchildren, Ryatt, Jake, Declan, Ryley, McKinley and Evelyn. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
