She was the widow of John Thomas Parker and the daughter of J. H. and Mattie Norris Carr of Southampton County. She was a member of the Western Branch Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Robert H. Parker of Windsor and Clinton G. Parker, Myrtle; a sister, Mrs. Dora Holland of Franklin; two brothers, John G. Carr of Princess Anne County and Charlie L. Carr of Nansemond County, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday [24 Aug 1956] at 2:30 p.m. at Colosse Baptist Church by the Rev. Curtis L. Hofman, pastor, and the Rev. B.
