She was an active and long time member of Conway Baptist Church where funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 1999, to celebrate her life. Receiving of friends will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Roberts Chapel Cemetery in Pendleton, NC following the service. Survivors include a son, James Clifton Parke, Jr., M.D., his wife, Jane Parke; three grandchildren, Jeanette Arvay, James David and Charles Edward Parke, Barke, seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren, Debra, Gale and Curtis Overcash; and several nieces and nephews.
