The deceased was an uncle of Mr. S. J. Parker, of Beamon, Nansemond county, Va. He leaves two brothers, Solomon of Woodland, N. C., and Council Parker, of Northampton county, N. C.; two daughters-Mrs. Maggie Beale and Miss Lula Parker, and four sons, William, Norfleet, Frank and John Parker, Jr.
