James Nicholson Obituary James Manning Nicholson January 14, 1940 - July 16, 2022 Capron - James Manning Nicholson, known to friends as Nick, was the son of Leola Bryant Nicholson and Robert Lee Nicholson Sr. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Lee Nicholson Jr. Nick was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served in the Air Force for 4 years with top secret clearance, spending 15 months in Okinawa. To the community, he was known through NAPA. He was associated with the company for 55 years, and has owned Nicholson Auto Parts for 24 years in Courtland. Nick loved piddling outside and classic cars. He was an avid participant in classic car shows, and his signature blue Chevy pickup truck is painted into a mural in downtown Franklin. Nick was a lifelong member of Capron United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for years. He was also a member of Capron Ruritan Club. Left to cherish his memory and love are his wife of 56 years, his Babes - Dolly Jamerson Nicholson, son James Manning Nicholson Jr. (Nickey and Stephanie), adoptive daughter Jackie Cutchin (Carlton) and their children Carlee and Ann Manning Cutchin, brothers in law, Randy (Diane) and Larry (Kathy), nephews James Marshall Nicholson and RL Nicholson III, and other nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in Capron United Methodist Church with Pastor Fred Brockhausen officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Capron Cemetery.
