Oliver NEWSOME Hartwell Newsome, 71, died August 8, 1979 at his home in Sedley, Va. He was a native of Bertie Co., N.C. and was the husband of Mrs. Frances Wade Newsome. He was a retired forty-five year employee with VEPCO.

Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Ronald Wall of Richmond; one son, Oliver H. Newsome, Jr. of Columbus, Ind.

Funeral service will be held Friday August 10, 1979 3 P.M. at the graveside in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge of arrangements.
