Mary Myers Obituary Mary Virginia Myers Suffolk - Mary Virginia Kevill Myers, 94, passed away Monday May 6, 2013 in her home. A native of Portsmouth, Mary Virginia was born on December 23, 1918 to the late John and Sara Kevill. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, graduate from St. Joseph Academy, belonged to the sewing circle of Church of the Resurrection, Richard Dale Women's Club, Stonewall Jackson Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy, Maryview Auxiliary and volunteered for 35 years at Maryview Hospital. Mary Virginia will be reunited with her loving husband of 72 years H. M. Myers, Jr. and her sisters Hatton Deal and Ruth Richards. Survivors include her daughter Linda Underwood; two grandsons, Milton Brady and his long time companion Maliea, Thomas Brady and his wife Patricia; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She wanted to thank Dr. Harrington and his staff for the good care she received from them and all hers caregivers Rose Sheppard, Brenda Salom, Theresa Cook, Maliea McDaniel and Mary Pizza that took such good care of her so that she could remain in her home. A special thanks to her friend and housekeeper of 17 years Cindy Bissette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p. m. Friday May 10, in Church of the Resurrection, 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23703, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will also receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p. m., Thursday May 9, at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk, VA 23435.
