Elmer J. Mitchell 

WINDSOR - Elmer Joseph Mitchell, 75, of 15 Church St. died Tuesday morning [16 September 1980] in St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond. He was a native of Somerset County, Pa., a son of the late Simon and Mrs. Elizabeth Nedrow Mitchell, and the husband of Mrs. Agnes Winnick Mitchell. He was a retired treating engineer with Advance Creosoting Company, a member of Windsor Baptist Church, and a member of the first Bible class there. 

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn L. Mobley of Columbia, S.C., Mrs. Barbara J. Hallsman of Covonia, Calif., Mrs. Sandra R. Bradshaw of Windsor and Mrs. Patsy J. Barnes of Suffolk; three sons, Richard J. Mitchell of Virginia Beach, George F. Mitchell of Carlsbad, N.M., and Robert E. Mitchell of Suffolk; three sisters, Mrs. Dolly Leedy of Houstontown, Pa., Mrs. Darlie Laird of Orbisonic, Pa., and Mrs. Katherine Wilt of Altoona, Pa.; one brother, Raymond Mitchell of Berlin, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held Thursday [18 September 1980] at 2:30 p.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. H. B. Fisher. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery.
