She was the wife of Walter Miles. She was predeceased by her parents Wilber Burden and Maggie Brett Futrell and a brother Kenneth Futrell. Josephine was a woman of many talents and interest. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and a past Sunday school teacher, 4-H leader, Newsoms Woman s Club president, Southampton High School cafeteria manager, caterer, seamstress, gardener, camper, entrepreneur and wonderful cook. She loved and touched many people in her life. She had four wonderful children, Tammy Gray (Mickey) of Courtland, Benjamin "Ben" Cutchins, Jr. (Cathy) of Newsoms, Mary Jo Cox ( Paul) of Suffolk and Warren Cutchins (Ellen) of Newsoms. Walter s children are Walter Miles, Jr. and Jane Paul. Her grandchildren are Brandon Gray (Nikki) , Alex Gray (Sarah), Catherine Cutchins, Mason Cox, Benjamin Cutchins, Jessie Cox, Skylar Cutchins, Michael Johnson, Chris Johnson, Jessie Paul and Dustin Paul. She had one great-grandson, Mitchell Gray. She is the sister of Wayne (Bessie) and Jimmy (Jane) Futrell both of Murfreesboro and Christie Hofmann (Joseph) of New Bern, NC.
