Georgia Mears Obituary Georgia Louise Mears October 29, 1940 - January 12, 2024 Franklin - Georgia Louise Mears, 83, passed away January 12, 2024 in Courtland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born and raised in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late George Kitchen and Rose Ella Dunlow Kitchen. She was also predeceased her husband, Robert Henry Mears and a brother, Johnny Kitchen. Louise loved traveling to the mountains and going fishing. She enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales. Left to cherish her memory is three sisters, Gracie K. Vargo, Lizzie K. Darden, and Ella K. Grizzard, and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 14, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
