ARTHUR G. MANN DIES: ROANOKE ISLAND NATIVE  

Arthur Garfield Mann, 78 years, husband of Mrs. Annie Skinner Mann and son of the late Louis Shelton and Mrs. Sarah Mott Mann, died in a Norfolk hospital Sunday evening [26 Oct 1958].  

Besides his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Willard Skinner; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Haigh, all of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Mann was a native of Roanoke Island and had been a resident of Norfolk for 15 years, residing at 3128 Tidewater Drive. He had resided in New York and living in Norfolk. He left Roanoke other cities several years prior to Island about 60 years ago.  

He was a member of Ridgewood Lodge No. 710, A.F. and A.M., New York City, Sudan Temple, New Bern, N.C., the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a veteran of World War I and II.  

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday [28 Oct 1958] at 2 p.m. Burial in Magnolia Cemetery.
