MOYOCK － Funeral services for James Luther Luton, 55, of Northwest, Va., who died Thursday at night, 2:30 will p.m. be at the conducted Moyock SunBaptist Church by the Rev. L. F. Smith, pastor, assisted by the Rev. James Davenport, pastor of the Northwest Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Bagley Memorial Cemetery here. The body will be taken from the Twiford Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, to the church one hour prior to the services.

A merchant and farmer at Northwest, he attended the Moyock Baptist Church. A native of Pasquotank County, he had lived in Northwest for the past 15 years. 

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eva White Luton; his mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Luton of Symonds Creek; one daughter, Mrs. William E. Springle; one son, Luther R. Luton, all of Northwest, Va.; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret James of Weeksville, Mrs. Janie eMads and Mrs. Doris Morgan of Symonds Creek and four brothers, Ursey M., Charles Henry a n d Thomas E., all of Symonds Creek, and John H. Luton of Weeksville.
