Burial took place in the family cemetery near Sedley. --- **Transcript of the Edited Obituary** Marvin Earl Lowe 8 September 1919 - 28 April 1946 War Veteran Dies of Pistol Wound; Termed Suicide Franklin, April 28. - Depressed since his release from the Army recently, Marvin Earl Lowe, 26-year-old war veteran who served three years in Europe, died of a pistol wound, allegedly self-inflicted, at the Norris Inn here about 3 a.m. today. An employee of the Taggart Corporation, he went to a dance here last night with his brother, Shelton Lowe, with whom he shared a room. Shelton dropped Marvin at the house, took a friend home, and when he returned found Marvin dead. The death was pronounced a suicide by Sheriff T.B. Bell of Southampton County, who viewed the body with Commonwealth's Attorney Junius W. Pulley. Lowe, the son of Mrs. Raynor Rairod Lowe and the late Harry C. Lowe of the Ivor community, was a member of Corinth Friends Church, Southampton County. Surviving besides his mother are one sister, Mrs. Alma Lowe Rairod of Ivor, and two brothers, Edgar Lowe of Ivor and Shelton Lowe of Franklin. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. at Corinth Friends Church by the Rev. J.R. Stein. Burial will be in the family cemetery near Sedley.
