Rick was born in Brooklyn, NY and served in the US NAVY from 1974 to 1994. He and his wife, Kay, settled in Virginia Beach, VA where they started their family. When Rick retired, he worked for AMSEC and Huntington Ingalls LLC for the remainder of his career. Rick can be remembered for his love of fishing, boating, camping, NASCAR, beach trips, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Kay; 2 daughters Katie Ruehl and husband Adam of Suffolk and Stacy Casavan and husband Bobby of Fernley NV; grandchildren Nathan and Audrey Ruehl and Braden Casavan and Richard on the way; brothers Doug Liszka and Mike Liszka and wife Helene; nieces and nephews, Keri, CJ, Mychelle, Ashley, and Michael. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Won Lee on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Baker-Foster, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk with Burial in Albert G.
