Obituary of Nathan Thomas (Tommie) Lewis 14 JUL 1898 - 27 JUN 1971 Nathan Lewis WINDSOR - Nathan Tommie Lewis, 72, of Rt. 4, Suffolk, died Sunday afternoon in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, after a long illness. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the husband .of Mrs. Valeria Boyette Lewis. He was a retired farmer. He was a deacon of Windsor Christian Church and a member of the Baraca Sunday school class there. Surviving, besides his widow, are two sons, Thomas Calvin Lewis of Fredericksburg and Nathan Terry Lewis of Freeport, Tex.; four daughters, Mrs. E. Rowland Lewis, Mrs. Edward R. Bissett, and Mrs. John R. Alphin of Zuni and Mrs. Joe A. Harrup of Sedley; a sister Mrs. Iola Holland of Chuckatuck; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be great held 3:30 p.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Arthur Knauer and the Rev. W. A. Grissom. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk.
