He was predeceased by his parents, Floyd B., Sr. and Ethylene Lewis; sister, Mary Virginia Grode and grandmother, Passie Riddick. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia W. Lewis; son, John, Jr. (DeeDee); daughters, Patty and Brigette (Robert); four grandchildren, Dailey, Heather, Brittany and Cody; four great granddaughters; one great grandson; brother, Floyd Benjamin (Carol); sisters, Margie and Judy (Tom); and brother-in-law Walter Worrell (Barbara). He loved and enjoyed his extended family in Cecilton and Elkton, Maryland; those "Maryland Blue Crabs" and fishing on the pier at Nags Head, NC. He was active for 36 years as a volunteer at Holland Fire Department with 26 of those years as Chief. He enjoyed his 42 years working at Farmers Hardware in Holland and was a member of the Men's Fellowship at Holy Neck Christian Church. Extended appreciation to Kayla Coleman and Kee Baller from Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in the Holy Neck Christian Church Cemetery at 11 AM with Rev. David Meadors officiating.
