Virginia was a native of Carrsville and was a daughter of the late Rossie Carr and Lois E. Bradshaw Carr and was also predeceased by her husband William J. "Alex" Lassiter, a sister Oneal Gray, and two brothers, John and Frank Carr. Virginia was a private duty nurse. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Ann Vincent, Cindy Smullen (Jim) and Gloria Walters (Tony), one son Cliff Vincent (Ginger), one sister Flossie C. Barnes, one brother William "Shotgun" Carr, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 10 AM Thursday, January 16, 2020 in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
