Mrs Effie L Lankford

Mrs Effie L Lankford, 78, a lifelong resident of Southampton County died suddenly at her home near Sedley Thursday morning [19 July 1951]. Mrs Lankford was the wife of Oliver Grant Lankford of Southampton County and daughter of the late Wallace and Martha Joyner Lankford of Southampton County, a member of the Sedley Friends Meeting House.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs Kennie Blythe of Sedley and Mrs H A Blythe of Franklin; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The remains were taken to the funeral home of W J M Holland and Sons of Franklin and on Friday at 4 oclock [20 July 1951] will be taken to the family cemetery near Sedley for graveside services, the Rev James Coney and the Rev E N Hassell officiating.
