Mr. King was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and had formerly lived in Winston-Salem. He was a sales consultant with the Gold Bond Division of National Gypsum Co. He was a retired lieutenant colonel in the North Carolina National Guard. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nell Fulton King, of the home; four sons, H. Dalton King, Yardley, Pa., W. Edward King, Hamilton, Mass., and Benjamin F. and Franklin L. King, both of Charlotte; and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 1985, at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church in Pineville with burial following in the church cemetery.
