He was 78 years old. Bill was born in Emporia, Virginia to Sankey Lindley and Virginia Joyner in 1943. He graduated in 1966 from Virginia Tech with a BS in Civil Engineering and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In 1968 he married Anne Kay and they had two children. In 1980, he formed his own successful commercial real estate development company with over 25 developments throughout Florida and Alabama. His son, Alex, joined soon after graduation to work for the family business. He was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Country Club, Lauderdale Yacht Club, First Presbyterian Church and Sportfisherman of Broward. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Anne Kay Joyner, daughter Allison Joyner Brown (Ben), Will iams Alexander Joyner Jr. of Indian Harbor Beach, Florida and granddaughter Lindley Downing Brown. Not a day will go by where he is not missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 24th at 3:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 401 SE 15th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.
