Mr. Sankey Lindley Joyner, Sr. of Jarratt, Va., age 75, died Wednesday, 16 July 1975, in a Richmond hospital. He was a retired railroad agent, having served 50 years with the Virginian and Norfolk and Western Railroad. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where he taught the Men's Bible Class for 25 years.  

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Williams Joyner; one daughter, Mrs. Verlinda J. Snyder, Springfield, Va.; two sons, Sankey L. Joyner Jr., Emporia, Va., and Williams Alexander Joyner of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three grandchildren.  

There will be a funeral service at Centenary United Methodist Church, Jarratt, Va., on Saturday, 19 July 1975, at 2 PM with burial in Rosemont Cemetery in Sedley, Va., with Masonic rites. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church Memorial Fund. The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home, Jarratt, Va., Friday between 7 and 9 PM.
