SMITHFIELD - James Howard Jones, 73, passed away January 23, 2014. 

Mr. Jones, a native of Portsmouth, was a retired auto repair body man and was well known for his restorations. 

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Rose Mary Martinette Jones; four children, Bill Bryant and wife Karin, Michael Bryant and wife Kristyne, Natalie Galarza and husband Ismael, Casey Jones and wife Tara; 10 grandchildren, Sean, Katie, Angelo, David, Nicolas, Thomas, Ellie, Emily, Cole, Eva, and one on the way; also his buddy's, Max and Boots. Also surviving is an aunt, Lucille Jones; and a cousin, Frank Roundy. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1802 South Church St., Smithfield, Va. 23430; or Isle of Wight Animal Shelter, 13044 Poor House Rd., Isle of Wight, Va. 23397.
