Mrs. Coggsdale was the daughter of the late James Lewis and Mrs. Fannie Worrell Johnson, of Southampton County. She was a member of Sycamore Church, near here. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. F. L. Whitley, Mrs. Gertie L. Griffin, Mrs. J. C. Cutchins, Mrs. Mary Duck, and Mrs. Gladys Babb, Franklin, and Mrs. Annie Brock, of Sedley; three sons, Coggsdale, of Hansom; Jesse Coggsdale, of Franklin, and James A. Coggsdale, of Baltimore; 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Garris, Mrs. Mary Franks, Mrs. Carrie Beale, Mrs. Corrine Mitchell, Mrs. Margaret Holland, and Mrs. Maude Gardner, all of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Sarah Harrell, of Norfolk; brother, D. C. Johnson, of Portsmouth, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Coggsdale was taken to the W. J. M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, and on Thursday will be taken to the Sycamore Baptist Church for funeral services at 2 p.m. The Rev. O. L.
