Johnson CARRSVILLE - Jodie Pittman Johnson, 88, retired farmer, died Wednesday afternoon in the home of his son, Robert Lee Johnson, after a long illness. He was a son of Jordan and Mrs. Martha. Beale Johnson and the husband of the late Mrs. Annie Hedgepeth Johnson. A lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, he was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and Holland Woodmen of the World. Besides his son, surviving are another son, Jasper L. Johnson of Suffolk; three daughters, Mrs. Goldie Darden and Mrs. Johnnie March of Holland and Mrs. Wallace Blanchard of Suffolk; 18 grandchildren and 19 gréat-grandchildren. A funeral serice will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Beaver Dam Baptist Church by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery, The body will be taken from W. J. M.
