FRANKLIN, VA., 24 February—Joseph I. Johnson, 74, of Carrsville, VA, died last night at Raiford Hospital, Franklin. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Hattie Johnson of Carrsville; four sons, Crawley Johnson, Buffalo; Thomas Johnson of Pittsburgh; and Charles and Ivey Johnson of Carrsville; two brothers, Jesse Johnson, Norfolk; D.P. Johnson, Norfolk; and four sisters, Mrs. Fred H. Taylor, Suffolk; Mrs. W.W. Hazelett, Whaleyville; Mrs. Nannie Russell, Isle of Wight County; and Mrs. Addie V. Speight, Sunbury, NC.
