Jack O. Jernigan  

Jack Oliver Jernigan, 37, of 567 Turlington Road, died Thursday morning in a Norfolk hospital.  

A native of Nansemond County, he was the husband of Mrs. Gloria Ann Luck Jernigan.  

He was a maintenance worker for the Virginia State Highway Department. He was a member of Oakland United Christian Church.  

Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Robert Wesley Bradshaw of Suffolk; two brothers, James A. Jernigan Jr. of Suffolk and Dewitt C. Jernigan of Wilburham, Massachusetts; and five half-brothers, W.A. Butler, C.M. Butler, W.N. Butler, R.E. Butler, and A.G. Butler of Suffolk.  

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. John L. Nicholas. Burial will be in Newman Memorial Cemetery, Chuckatuck. The family will be at 4040 Godwin Blvd.
