HIT BY STREET CAR, DIES FROM INJURIES Gatesville, June 20- Funeral services for James H. Jenkins, who died from injuries received Wednesday afternoon in Newport News, Va., were held Friday afternoon at old Jenkins Jenkins home near Gates. Mr. Jenkins was a native of Gates county. He was struck by a street car and lived only a few hours. He had reached his 72nd year, but was in his usual health. The deceased leaves the following children, A. C. Jenkins, of Ahoskie, H. L. and J. H. Jenkins of Washington, M. A. Jenkins, of Portsmouth; Mrs. C. J. Tillman, Mrs. C. T. Crandell, Malvin and Eure Jenkins, all of Newport News; four sisters, Mrs. W. C. Moore and Mrs. H. E. Freeman of Suffolk, Mrs. H. J. Freeman and Miss Sallie Jenkins of Gates.
