Etta Proctor Jenkins, 76, of 206 Edge Hill Lane, Yorktown, died Aug. 25 at her home. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Nash County, N.C., and had been a Yorktown resident since 1955. She was a member of Crooks Memorial United Methodist Church, Yorktown.

She is survived by a daughter, Beth Stillwell of Yorktown; one sister; and three grandchildren. 

A funeral was conducted Thursday at Crooks Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Donald Long. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park.
