Hazel Hughes Obituary Hazel Johnson Hughes August 23, 1917 - February 11, 2013 Sedley - Hazel Johnson Hughes, 95, widow of Jack Orlando Hughes, went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 11, 2013. She was born in Sedley, Virginia to the late James William and Julia Davis Johnson and was predeceased by her three brothers, Vance, Chesley and J. C. Johnson. A former 40-year resident of Homeville, left to cherish her memory is her sister Jessie J. Cook and her husband, Harold; nephew, Troy Cook and his wife, Carolyn all of Sedley; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; sisters-in-law, Catherine Perry of Franklin and Mary Sipiczky Johnson of Richmond. Heaven gained an angel-We will treasure our memory of her and miss her very much. The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, on Wednesday, February 13 from 6 to 8 PM. The funeral will be held at the funeral home at 2 PM Thursday, February 14 with the Rev. Larry Cribb officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.
