Weldon － Ssrvices were conducted Friday afternoon for William C. Howell, 73, prominent Northampton farmer and dairyman, who died in Roanoke Rapids Hospital after an illness of several days. The rites, were conducted by the Rev. Trueblood and interment was made in the family plot. 

Surviving are his widow and the following children: W. C. Fleetwood of Garysburg; Mrs. Tatum Sparger of Fayetteville; Mrs. Maylon Parker, of Seaboard; Mrs. Elmo D. Wilson of Norfolk; eight Sods, Marvin Howell of Richmond; Rufus Howell, Lloyd. Howell and Roward Howell, all of Seaboard; Grady Howell of Stony Creek, Va.
