MRS. CAROLINE BASS  

Durham – Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Howell Bass, widow of Thomas J. Bass of Durham, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Seaboard Baptist Church, Seaboard. Burial will be in Seaboard Cemetery. Mrs. Bass died Sunday night in Durham. She was a native of Northampton County. She came to Durham in 1934. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. P. B. Stephenson of Seaboard, Mrs. George C. West and Mrs. L. Bryant, both of Durham; one son, Luther T. Bass of Greensboro; one sister, Mrs. J. M. Powell of Washington, D.C.; one brother, S. V. Howell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
