Edward Vaughan Horton Jr., 10, son of Edward Vaughan Horton Sr. and Mrs. Margaret Simmons Horton of 101 Portr Rd., Merrimac Point, died yesterday, 14 May 1957, at 9:30 a.m. in a Portsmouth hospital after a long illness.  

He was a native of Portsmouth and attended the Broad Street Methodist Church Sunday School.  

Besides his parents, surviving are one sister, Hylah Elizabeth Horton; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Simmons Jr. of Sebrell; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Beulah N. Horton of Portsmouth.  

The body was taken to the Snellings Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow, 16 May 1957, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
