Holland, one of the county's most prominent citizens, died today at his home near Everetts in the 83rd year of his age. Mr. Holland was a veteran of the Civil War serving gallantly throughout that conflict. Funeral services will be held on Saturday from Oakland Christian church, Rev. L. W. Johnson officiating, and the remains laid to rest in the church cemetery. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. S. A. Holland, and the following children: Mrs. Mattie Powell, Mrs. Wortley Cuppy of West Virginia; Mrs. E. E. Wagner and Mrs. Florence Everton of Norfolk county: H. C. Holland of Port Norfolk, and H. H.
