Betty Raymond Holland Obituary On November 3, 2022, Betty Elaine Raymond Holland passed away peacefully at age 77 after a brief illness. Betty was a beacon of love and wisdom to all that knew her. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph Raymond and Margaret Elaine Oakes Raymond. Betty graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1963 and was a member of Alive Community Church. She was a woman that walked through life united with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her ministry included being a Sunday School teacher along with holding Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) backyard Bible Clubs in the neighborhood. She attended Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for numerous years and served as a Bible study leader. She cared deeply for her family and was an exceptional wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Daniel Ray Holland; her daughters, Julie (Chris) Pritchard of Suffolk, VA, and Lisa (David) Ridpath of Radford, VA; one grandchild Abigail Elaine Ridpath. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Jr. (Connie) Raymond along with four nieces Colby, Caity, Angelia and Tina. The Holland family is in the care of R. W. Baker & Company Funeral Home and Crematory, North Suffolk Chapel. Interment will be in Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth with a private family graveside service.
