LAKE MATHIS - Joseph S. Hoegerl, 76, of Lake Mathis, died Saturday in a local hospital. He owned and operated Hoegerl's Service and Grocery.  

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sam "Patsy" Norvell of Houston and Mrs. Frank Jo Ann Chastvilik of San Diego, California; two brothers, H.C. "Bob" Hoegerl of Lake Mathis and Lawrence Hoegerl of Mesquite; four sisters, Mrs. Ann Curry of Port Aransas, Mrs. Christine Moravek of Lake Mathis, Mrs. Grace Stock of Seguin, and Mrs. Viola Thompson of Robstown; and two grandchildren.
