Dianne was born October 15, 1943 in Newport News and grew up in Deltaville. She was the daughter of the late Denvie Blanton Hundley and Mabel Daniel Hundley. She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Arthur Hirsch, Jr. and her first husband, Gerald Lee Duncan, a grandson, Dustin Jacob "Dusty" Whitehurst, and a son in law, Wamer Lewis Mayes, Jr. Dianne was a graduate of Middlesex High School in Saluda and was a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship Church and grew up in Zoar Baptist Church in Deltaville. Dianne had retired as the personal secretary for Sol W. Rawls, Jr. after over 50 years of service and was retired executive assistant for S. W. Rawls, Inc. after over 50 years of service. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Sherry Duncan Mayes and Becky Duncan Whitehurst, three grandchildren, Katie Joyner (Makinzie), Taylor Joyner, Capt. William Lewis Mayes, USMC (Shelby) and Harvey‚Äôs two daughters, Nancy H. Brown (Phillip) and Linda H. Drake (Neil), Harvey‚Äôs four grandchildren, Emily E. Brown, Grayson D. Hasty (Dillon), William M. Brown, Jr. and Emma C. Drake and one great grandchild, Collins J. Hasty. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Wright officiating.
