He loved watching baseball, especially with his son-in-law, and his favorite team was the Washington Nationals. He loved his Lord, to sing along to Ray Price, working in his yard and his cat Scoopy. He was a very caring and giving person. Larry is survived by his son Paul T. Hess; and daughter Julianne H. Thomas and husband Christopher. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the graveside at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Road, Suffolk VA 23435 on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11 AM.
