Chesapeake － Bruce Wayne Hayden, 61, passed away June 23, 2014 in a hospital. 

Wayne, a native of Portsmouth, was a retired painting contractor, a veteran of the U. S. Army, and a member of Living Waters Christian Fellowship. He was predeceased by his father, Russell D. Hayden, and a brother, James Hayden. 

Survivors include his mother, Lillie Broglin Hayden Lovin; two sons, David W. Hayden (Veronica), and Dwain A. Hayden; four sisters, Linda Zabala, Doris Clemente (Jessie), Kathy Guster, Siobhan Hayden; three brothers, Russell Hayden, Jr. (Jeannette), Richard Hayden (Karon), Kenneth Hayden (Donna); and two grandchildren. 

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 3 p. m. Thursday, June 26, at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, by Rev. Nelson Fields. Private family viewing will be at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, Suffolk. Condolences may be registered at bakerfoster.com.
