Hatfield Franklin, May 24 William Arthur Hatfield, 72, well known farmer of the Windsor Community, died this morning in Norfolk General Hospital after an illness of several days. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carr Hatfield of Southampton County. He was a member of the Central Hill Baptist Church of Isle of Wight County. He is survived by one son, L. S. Hatfield, Windsor, and one daughter, Mrs. Fleetwood M. Turner, Windsor; three brothers, J. E. Hatfield, Burdette, M. C. Hatfield, Suffolk, L. H. Hatfield, Norfolk; five sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Joyner, R. L. Berry, both of Norfolk, and Holland, Mrs. L. H. Davis and Mrs. Eugene Johnson, Panama, and Mrs. Owen Shifflett, of Maryland and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Holland Funeral Home, in Franklin, pending funeral arrangements which will be announced later.
