Born in Conway, NC on April 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Herbert Lee Hasty, Sr. and Sudie Davis Hasty. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Sarah White and Sally Duffee. H.L. was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and was a retired lab technician for Masonite Corporation in Waverly. He was a member of Courtland Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Bonnie Barnes Hasty; a daughter, Debbie Bradshaw Fuller; a son, Robbie Lee Hasty; three grandchildren, Shannon Koehler, Amy Bradshaw, and C. W. Bradshaw, II; nine great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 2PM Thursday, June 6, 2024 in Riverside Cemetery with Rev. Tom Wallace officiating. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Newsoms Baptist Church Building Fund or a favorite charity.
