A funeral service for Joseph Clifton Harrison, 43, found drowned Thursday in the Elizabeth River at Norfolk, will be held today at 2:30 p.m. in W. J. M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home.

Officiating will be the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins and the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr.

Burial will be in Beaver Dam Church Cemetery. He formerly was in the Merchant Marine. A native of Isle of Wight County, he lived in Norfolk 30 years. He was a son of William Henry and Mrs. Josie Clay Carr Harrison.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Howell of Franklin and Mrs. Evelyn Rose Kent of McDougal, N.Y.; and three brothers, William H. Harrison Jr. of Norfolk, Wallace Harrison of Franklin and Robert Edward Harrison of Daytona Beach, Fla.
