Thomas Harmon Obituary Thomas Lee Harmon August 27, 1945 - January 20, 2023 Franklin - Thomas Lee "Tommy" Harmon, 77, passed away on January 20, 2023 in Southampton Memorial Hospital with his daughter Kim by his side. Born and raised in Franklin, he was a son of the late Richard Lee Harmon and Virginia Benson Bowles. He was also predeceased by a sister, Rachel Harmon. Tommy was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a retired Assistant Manager for Estees Truck Lines with 47 years of service and after his retirement he drove a school bus for The Children’s Center for ten years. He was a founder and member of the VFW Post #4411. Tommy loved his family, his dogs, and his fast cars especially his convertible mustang. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Diane Warden Harmon; his daughter, Kimberly Harmon Blythe (Dwayne); his son, Thomas Daniel "Danny" Harmon; two sisters, Diane Holland and Joann Bowles; four brothers, Horace Lee "Billy" Bowles, Jr., Kenneth Wayne Bowles, Herbert Lee Bowles, and Edward Lee Bowles; five grandchildren, Destiny Marie Harmon (Frankie), Kendal Dwayne Blythe, Rachel Denson Blythe, Justin Bass and Megan E. Blythe; and two great grandchildren, Jaiden Lee Nichols and Kaison James Nichols. A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 2PM Monday, January 23, 2023 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Brother Roger Holland officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Sunday in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 W.
